HMRL - The Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited got major relief from supreme court, as per the court go for acquisition in Nampally and Ameerpet areas. Earlier the land acquisition was passed based on old Land Acquisition Act in 2013. The owners of these properties approached the High court to pay the compensation based on new Land Acquisition Act.
The government of Telangana and HMRL pleaded in the supreme court to take the possession of affected properties with respect to old LA act, and the compensation would be paid whether it may be old LA or new LA which will be based on supreme court final hearing.
With this court order the HMRL is planning to speed up the work in the 11 affected areas in Ameerpet and Nampally as per NVS Reddy MD of Hyderabad Metro Rail Ltd.
The telangana government has asking Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited to start the metro train services between Miyapur to SR Nagar by June 2 as as it is conincide with the Telangana formation day. This stretch of Miyapur to SR nagar also got safety clearance certificate as per Mr N.V.S.Reddy. Another stretch Nagole to begumpet will be operational from December, where as Nagole mettuguda will be operaitonal once secunderabad rail over bridge construcaiton is complete.
