Hyderabad city is going to host the 6 IPL matches in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on 9th, 12th, 22nd, 26th in April, 5th, 7th and 19th in May 2018. As we know hyderbad metro train servies are started in November itself for a distance of 27.7 km, so who ever want to avoid traffic jams at Stadium and avoid parking difficulties they can simply use Hyderabad Metro Trains. As this is the first time IPL matches are happening after Metro services started in twin cities of Hyderabad. Currently the metro trains are running with a frequency of 15 min from Nagole to Ameerpet and Vice versa and with a frequency of 8 min from Miyapur to Ameerpet and vice versa.
On these ipl matches days Hyderabad metro wants to run the trains with a frequency of 8 min in Nagole to Ameerpet also, cricket lovers can utilise these metro services. The metro train timings are extended on ipl match days, currently the metro trains runs from morning 6 :00 a.m to 10:30 p.m, However on IPL match days metro trains will run till night 12:30 a.m
Hyderbad Metro is planning to increase the metro train frquency to 8 min in Nagole to Ameerpet route also, and also planning to reduce the doors opening and closing time to 10 sec instead of 20 to 45 seconds. The current average speed also can increased from 30kmph. These all things are possible as the signalling and testing things are completed in th e stretches of Mettuguda to Ameerpet and SR Nagar to Ameerpet as per Hindu daily contacted HMR MD NVS Reddy.
