RAIL SAARTHI - Which stands for "Synergized Advanced Application Rail Travel Help and Information". Which is useful to book tickets reserved and unreserved, enquiry, meal orders and cleaning facilities in trains. Currently Indian railways having so many mobile applications like IRCTC and UTS, they want to combine and come up with a single app across the board for all services. Railways Central Minister Mr. Suresh Prabhu launched this mobile app on July 14th, this app is called as Rail Saarthi, this app will have features like safety measures for women, anyone can submit complaints or suggestions to improve the railway services and facilities as per Suresh Prabhu. Booking of air ticket also incorporated in this app as per Suresh Prabhus, with this app you can book the porter while reaching to station, retiring room facilities, you can book food apart from train and flight tickets. This app was developed by Center for Railway Information System (CRIS).
Currently seems only android version only released, we need to wait for some more days for IOS version. While launching the app railway minister said quota reserved for differently abled persons in 3AC, increasing the advanced booking for foreigners from 120 days to 365 days.
We can book either reserved or unreserved tickets using this rail saarthi mobile app, however you have to install UTS and IRCTC applications to utilise this service, for unreserved you can book for general train tickets and mmts train tickets also. Currently some stations only it is displaying, Indian Railways will update soon all the station details. Where as for reserved tickets IRCTC application will be launched
We can get the details like seat availability, fare enquiry, train current running status and pnr status information using this enquiry option
With this affiliated services feature we can book flight tickets, book food through irctc catering service, we can book tour packages and retiring rooms also incase any delays in the train schedule
We can provide the feedback through twitter and request for cleaning the coaches if it is dirty, and we can suggest or we can give complaints any rail related services are not proper
