Yes, one more happy news for Hyderabadis who waited so many years for metro especially from Ameerpet to LB nagar region. The trail runs has started from Ameerpet to LB Nagar stretch on June 19th 2018. LB Nagar to Ameerpet stretch is having 16km in length and it will take one more month to start the services in this stretch. More likely the services will be started in July 2018 end. In mean while all the necessary works should be completed. Municipality and urban development minister Shri K. Rama Rao has took a part in this trail run on Wednesday from Ameerpet to LB Nagar and had press conferene along with metro rail M.D Mr. NVS Reddy and L&T Metro Rail M.D. Mr. KVB Reddy, Transport Minister Mahidar Reddy, Member of Parliament Malla Reddy, Hyderabad Mayor Bontu Rammohan were also present in the meeting. KTR said currently the patronage is about 80k and some times even more and Hyderabad metro is very successful compare to Chennai and Bangalore Metro. He added that hyderabad metro is planning skywalks at Nampally and MGBS so that thousands of commuters can directly get into metro train using skywalks. The ridership will increase once the lb nagar to ameerpet stretch also open to public.
In Miyapur to LB Nagar route from Miypur to Ameerpet is in currently operational, the remaining stretch from Ameerpet to LB Nagar is getting ready. In Nagole to Rayadurgam route from Nagole to Ameerpet is now operational, where as from Ameerpet to Rayadurgam is under construction stage.
MGBS interchange station is going to be the world's biggest metro station. The Ameerpet Metro Station is the Asia's biggest metro station, this is constructed 18000 sq feet area, where as MGBS is 26000 sq feet area. Even though all the viaduct works completes the major work at putlibowli should be completed where corridor 1 and corridor 2 will meet.
