Railway budget for this year 2018-19 increased a bit compare to 2017-18. Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitely announced a
sum of 1, 46,500 crores as railway budget this year. The main focus this year on passengers security as last year so many
train derailments were happened. The railway budget increase 22% compare to last year. And next goes to 18000 km two, three and four
lines changing and 5000km broad gauge change, if it gets completed then almost all gauge should be broad gauge only.

Wi-fi facility in all railway stations.
Remodelling of 600 important railway stations.
Providing escalators in all railway stations where daily commuters is about 25,000.
Electrifying of 4000 km railway line.
11,000 crores for modernising Mumbai city train systems.
And 90km of double line for Mumbai Suburban rail.
Expanding the suburban network in Bengaluru by 160km
