Inidan Railways has decided to facilitate to book unreserved tickets for any train journey from November 1st onwards. For pilot project they lauched the services in Mumbai, however mumbians use to local trains frequently it was not great success. Later Indian Railways introduced UTS mobile service in 15 railway zones, now it is introducing in all the railway zones.
Features of UTS Mobile Application
We can book tickets using Normal Booking, Quick booking, platform ticket and season tickets also. Using Normal booking and quick booking we can book either paperless tickets for which we should be away from station and for paper tickets you can book at station and need to take the print tickets from ATVMs. We can book either express, mmts ticket booking or suburban ticket booing.
Through quick booking option you can book tickets as normal booking, the only difference here is no need to choose source and destination, previous ticket options it will suggest.
We can book platform ticket using paperless or paper.
We can book season tickets as paperless or paper and new ticket or renew ticket.
We can cancel the ticket once you booked.
We can see booking history for previously booked tickets
We will have R-wallet (Railway Wallet) option to book tickets, with this uts mobile app you can recharge the wallet, you can check for current balance, you can check for recharge history and you can surrender Rwallet.
One can update the profile information such as city, modify frequent travel, change journey details like travel through mmts, express, or payment mode, change password, change handset, sync ticket and change personal information.
We can book unserved tickets to any railway station.

We can book season tickets either monthly, quarterly or yearly.
We can show the booked tickets without internet also
